Published with the National Recreation and Park Association of Washington, D.C., this is an undated, contemporary facsimile reprint of the report that was originally issued in January, 1857, by Viele, who was the Engineer-in-Chief of the operation to begin to "improve the grounds" of the park. A scarce piece of historical documentation.
