First edition white cloth hard cover featuring a woman in apron holding up a tray of steaming food. White covers are lightly shelf soiled and hand-soiled, and have a trace of rubbing to corners. Internally clean and unmarked, save for one neatly inked recipe on one of the blank written recipe pages. Weights and measures endpapers, 538pp., index, black and white photographs. The true first edition of this immensely popular cookbook which was reprinted by Grosset & Dunlap during the Great Depression in the 1930s. A very nice, well-cared for copy.
