Jacket has a short closed tear and a v-chip to top of front panel, stray ink marks to rear panel. New mylar cover. Maynard was Seattle's first doctor, first capitalist, first humorist, first friend to the Indians, first real estate promotor and first to adopt the sobriquets we still use today: "Queen City of the Northwest" and "Gateway to the Orient." 275pp., index, maps, decorative endpapers.
