Dust jacket, with scuffs, closed tears, and clear tape repair all along upper and lower edges, offered in new mylar cover. The shipboard diary of Roger Conant, a reporter who accompanied Asa Mercer and the Mercer Girls on their voyage from New York through the Strait of Magellan to Seattle in 1866. There is now an island in Lake Washington named Mercer.
